I have now completed the second week of my 6 week fitness challenge and it was particularly difficult to feel motivated. For one, it was that time of the month. Bloating, cramps, insatiable appetite. The last thing I wanted to do was get active or eat anything that wasn't chocolate or fried. I also had insomnia all week, so my body was never feeling fully recovered from the night before. All in all, I didn't expect to have amazing results come weigh in time this morning.

What I did this week- I stuck with cardio because it felt easiest while Aunt Flow was in town. But I upped the duration to almost an hour every time. I skipped two consecutive days out of exhaustion (Like I said, I wasn't getting enough sleep).

What I ate- I couldn't be bothered to care about what I was eating. I did however stick to portion control. The least I could do was not overstuff myself with the random snacks I was eating instead of nutritious meals. I relied on calorie tracking to make sure I was still in calorie deficit at the end of the day. But I didn't succumb to my wine craving, which I knew would have me eating an entire loaf of sourdough bread in one sitting.

Weigh in- Stepped on the scale this morning and the number stopped at 166.8lbs. My exact weight from my previous weigh in. Definitely not mad at that, as I fully expected to have gained 5lbs. I'll take that as a win.

As for this coming week, I've taken a big step toward achieving my goal: I officially joined a gym! It is way easier for me to get into beast mode at an actual gym than outside or at home. I've already made my gym schedule for the week. Full steam ahead!
