Women Are Going Wild!

All over the world, women are going wild and I am proud to say I am part of this group! I'm ditching the margaritas by the poolside vacation for a tent and backpack and I'm not the only one.

I read the book, Wild, and was inspired. I saw the movie, Wild, and instantly knew I was going to hike the Pacific Crest Trail this summer. I'm not the only woman who was inspired by this book and movie. According to CNN, 60% of people pitching tents last year were women, compared to 48% in 2011. More women are going wild then ever before. More women are taking to the trail to find themselves and to be empowered. I will fully admit, I'm motivated to do this hike to recharge my soul; to figure out what's next; or learn to be content with what I have. I hope to find the answer on the PCT.
