Something Not Canceled This Summer Are These Raceway Events

Governor Brad Little spoke earlier explaining the stage status for Idaho and that it will remain at stage 4. That might confuse some because weren't we at stage 3?

It definitely gets confusing because Boise was just mandated to wear masks, Ada County remains at stage 3 while the stage keeps solid at stage 4. Still, confused? The Governor also said he was leaving it up to the county if they want to remain at 3. That's just in a nutshell.

So, what's open Idaho? I feel like most things are open but it's the events that keep changing. I came across some friends who are heading out to watch the racing this weekend. Firebird Raceway and Meridian Speedway are both open for racing.

Firebird Raceway 

The Club Challenge Series is happening Friday night with gates opening earlier in the day at 12:30 p.m. The rounds of racing begin at 6:30 p.m. This is part of a season of races that crowns a winner in late October. There is also a list of procedures regarding social distancing that you can get HERE.

Meridian Speedway

Meridian hosts Boat Races of Destruction on Saturday, July 11, and is open each weekend. Races start at 6:45 p.m. with gates earlier at 4:45 p.m.
