How many pairs of shoes do you have in a closet that aren't being used? I know a kid that could use those.

This past weekend, Moug & Angie and the entire Mix team made a special partnership with our friends at T-Mobile to assist those kids in need. We moved all over the Treasure Valley to gather as many shoes as we could. All the shoes donated were brand new and ready to put a smile on some kid's face. I was thinking about the parents who come from all different financial situations. Sometimes you've gotta decide to keep the lights on, food on the table and put off new shoes until later.

That's why we wanted to thank Fred Meyer for dropping off 106 pairs of new shoes for these deserving children! I can't imagine what it must feel like taking home some new shoes especially as we head into winter months. Thanks to T-Mobile, our sponsor for this year's Mix Cares for Kids campaign, hundreds of kids across the Treasure Valley will be warm, comfortable, and confident this holiday season.

The Boys & Girls Club is a special place to me because I've spent holidays eating with those kids and their families. You might not realize that. All over the country, this group doesn't just open the doors to the kids but it's for the family as well. If you're ever looking for a place to donate this is always a winner.
