Idaho Business is Matching Your Donation to The Idaho Food Bank
The Idaho Food Bank is near and dear to us here at Mix 106. I love that the money raised, stays here in Idaho to help people we may know that are in need. Every year you help with the Mix Cares for Kids Backpack Buddy program and now during the holidays you can double your donation because one Treasure Valley Business will match your donation dollar for dollar.
One of my favorite parts of Christmas is sitting down to a home-cooked meal with my wife and kids. While many of us take such meals and time with our families for granted, there are so many people in our community without these luxuries this holiday season.
This December, the Idaho Foodbank has teamed up with Corwin Ford of Nampa to match your donations dollar-to-dollar in hopes of providing warm meals, services, and food boxes to those 230,000 people going without in the Treasure Valley. Each contribution, no matter the size, is greatly appreciated and 94% will go directly to feeding those in need.
Think about it...if you donate $20, you are really donating $40 because of Corwin Ford's Matching donation...and every dollar you donate can be turned into five dollars because of partnerships that the Idaho Food Bank has....so you're $20 donation will actually buy $200 worth of food...Pretty amazing huh?
We feel very fortunate to work with this wonderful organization at Mix 106 throughout the year, especially during our Backpack Buddy telethon each fall. Nicole and I have heard first hand what an impact the Foodbank has made in our community and encourage you to give what you can this holiday season if you are able.
