Idaho Food Bank Distributes Free Food Boxes Thursday at Expo Idaho
The Idaho Food Bank is coming through for Idahoans again this week. It's a big win if you can save money and receive free food during this crazy pandemic. It's one of those moments that you can take care of yourself and look out for a neighbor.
The Idaho Food Bank is taking over Expo Idaho on Thursday, July 22 from 3 p.m. - 8 p.m. This is a free event and all you need to do is show up. They just want your zip code and how many live with you. That's it.
People show up for these massive boxes because Idahoans are struggling right now. Make no mistake about it. Free food can save your home, car, and keep the lights on. There is nothing worse than having to figure out food because you have to pay rent.
Here's what you'll get inside.
- Meat
- Dairy
- Produce
- Butter
- and essentials.
I spoke with the Idaho Food Bank's Public Relations Coordinator Susanne Lally and it's evident their goal is to reach everyone.
Keke, this is the first time some families have been in this situation. So many people have lost their jobs and don't know what's going to happen next. It's our responsibility to make sure they have access to free food. Some people just don't know what to do.
I was thinking about that and Susanne is right. COVID-19 has taken millions of jobs from people who have never been without one. What would you do?
The free boxes weigh 25 pounds you'll receive two. Take advantage of this help on Thursday from 3 p.m. - 8 p.m. Lally mentioned they want to do one every month so download the Mix 106 app so we can keep you in the loop.
