Hello! I'm Mike! I've been in radio for over 30 years and love every moment of it! I have one of the best jobs in the world…with the exception of having to wake up every morning at 4 a.m. my job really is better than working for a living. I get to wake up and have fun and laugh with you every day. I was born and raised in Idaho and it was always my dream to someday get to work in in my home state of Idaho. I got the chance in 1990, and thought I would work in Boise for a few years and move to a bigger city for more money…but something happened along the way. I fell in love with the Treasure Valley…..I also began a family and they all love it here too. My wife Tracy and I are the parents of seven children in a blended family. We have 6 boys and only one girl (thank God). My wife owns Silverhawk Realty which is a successful real estate company with 5 offices and over 80 realtors…We all love living and working here and have really become a part of the Treasure Valley community. I’ve had the pleasure of working at Mix 106 since June 20th, 2002. It’s an amazing station with and it truly is a pleasure to come to work every morning. We have some amazing listeners who are also heavily involved with us in making our community better by helping with our various charities and fundraiser during the year…like the annual Mix 106 Cares for Kids Backpack program to benefit the Idaho Food Bank which has raised over a quarter of a million dollars since 2012. You also help make Christmas for kids at St Luke’s Children’s hospital better every year with Mike’s Christmas Elves. Every year we deliver toys to the kids who are stuck in the hospital for Christmas, but we couldn’t do it without donations from all of our listeners. Did I mention working for Mix 106 is better than working for a living? Now if I could just convince everybody that our morning show would be much better if we could start around 9 or 10 am, this job would be perfect
