Fireworks Banned Outside Of City Limits
Fourth of July is just a few weeks away, which means firework stands are popping up around what seems like every corner in the Treasure Valley.
While it's beautiful and exciting making memories with the family, hot, dry conditions create the perfect situation for one spark to ignite a fire. A ban of fireworks in areas outside of city limits and outside of a fire protection district, takes effect until October 31, in hopes to prevent fires from starting in rural, unincorporated areas of the county.
It is unlawful for anyone to use fireworks in an area that constitutes a severe fire threat based on vegetative conditions.
It's important to know that violators could be charged with a misdemeanor.,
