We're are all human and we all make mistakes, but our men and women in uniform are held to a higher standard and it's always disappointing to see one of them on the other side of the cuffs.

44-year-old Jason Jones was off-duty when he was caught driving the wrong way on Capitol Blvd yesterday between Main and Front at 9:45 p.m.

According to idahonews.com, he's been placed on administrative leave. He was pulled over by a Boise Police officer under suspicion of driving under the influence.

The officer smelled alcohol when he pulled Jones over and asked for a sobriety test. After failing the test, Jones refused to cooperate. He was taken to jail, ordered to give a blood sample, was cited, and released. He's been charged with a misdemeanor.

Jones has worked as a patrol and civil deputy for the Ada County Sheriffs Office since 2003.

He will remain on administrative leave until the toxicology report becomes available. He will appear in court later this month.

Everyone please drink and drive responsibly tonight.
