Hey, I'm Carly! I've been getting up at 2:30 a.m. for the last 13 years to wake up with you and I wouldn't have it any other way! Before moving to Boise, I was born and raised just south of Salt Lake City. I have fond memories of Idaho growing up because my Dad is from Pocatello and we would travel to Grangeville nearly every Thanksgiving to visit my great-grandparents. When I told my family I was moving to the Treasure Valley, my Dad gave me his blessing by saying "My heart is shaped like Idaho!" I fell in love with Boise from the moment I rolled into town. In my free time I love discovering new restaurants in town, cooking, shopping, watching reality TV, and spending time with my two beautiful children, 11 year old Boston and 9 year old Jocelyn. Catch me on MIX 106 from 5:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday through Fridays.

Movies To Watch To Help You Educate Yourself About Black History
I'll be the first one to admit that I've been pretty naive about what black people have gone through in history. Having been raised in predominatelly white Salt Lake City, and now living in Boise, it's an issue that I haven't been as educated on as I should be and I've made a vow to change that. These movies have taught me a lot in the wake of the George Floyd murder and the Black Lives Matter movement.
