Life changed in an instant this morning when 39-year-old Veronica Andrade decided to drink and drive. Now a 7-month old baby is dead and a 3-year-old is in critical condition.

The crash happened at 3:16 a.m. between Boardman and Stanfield in Oregon (about 4 hours west of Boise.) Andrade was driving eastbound in a 2003 Cadillac CTS when she veered off to the right side of the road and rolled.

According to KTVB, she faces multiple charges including DUI, manslaughter, first-degree assault, reckless driving, and reckless endangering.

The baby and the toddler were inside Andrade's vehicle when the car rolled and the 7-month old was ejected from the vehicle which proved to be fatal. The 3-year-old has been flown to Randall Children's Hospital at Legacy Emanuel in Portland, Oregon. Veronica was treated and released before she was arrested.

No word on if the children inside the vehicle were her own or what her blood alcohol content was.

Please let this tragic story serve as a reminder to never ever drink and drive.
