Call me basic 'cause that's what I am! I love Starbucks, watching Friends and The Office, cute stationary, messy buns, yoga pants, bath bombs and face masks, taking selfies, and going to brunch. But above all, I live for a trip to Target. It's the perfect one stop shop for my basic and "basic" needs. Most Targets have a licensed Starbucks store inside, so it's hard to believe anything could make it more perfect. Then Brian Cornell, Target's chairman and CEO, announced a new partnership with Ulta Beauty.

Currently there are nine Ulta Beauty shops in Idaho, including my favorite location inside The Village at Meridian where I shop for all my hair care products, advanced skin care products, and more exclusive makeup brands. Starting next year, however, Target will be rolling out Ulta Beauty shops INSIDE 100 existing Target stores saving you a stop during shopping trips. The "shop in shop destination" is meant to "complement [Target's] wide-ranging beauty assortment with a new curation of established and emerging prestige brands."

In addition Target is hoping to add GLAMLab to its website. Currently part of Ulta's standalone website, it's a virtual tool to safely test out products before making your purchase. Talk about pandemic friendly. So will we be enjoying this exciting update in Treasure Valley Target locations? The short answer is maybe.

So far there hasn't been an announcement on which stores are part of the new partnership. Instead you're encouraged to sign up for a bullseye view newsletter to receive bi-weekly updates, which will include more information about the rollout as it comes to light. And even if the Treasure Valley isn't included in the initial launch, there are plans to continue expansion every year after that. I've signed up for the newsletter, so the moment I have more answers, I'll provide an update.
