First Thursday only happens once a month (Duh, the first Thursday of the month). But last time I remembered about First Thursday was back in September! With all the craziness and chaos of life, I'd end up remembering about it a week or two too late. Not this time! I marked it in my calendar to remind you to take advantage of all the specials going on in Downtown Boise this (almost) weekend.

Drinking & Dining:

Cactus Bar: Bingo and Beer! Beer is on special along with cocktails and wine. Bingo is free, with prizes for winners. Bingo is only an hour though. 6:30pm- 7:30pm, so get there right when it starts for a shot at better prizes.

Double Tap Pub: Wells and drafts are $3 all day long. Personally I'd start there. Bang for your buck.

The Grove Hotel: Happy hour specials from 5:00pm- 9:00pm. 50% off appetizers from Trillium Restaurant and $4 cocktails, and local Idaho beers and wines in Trillium or The Bar.

Mad Swede Downtown Brew Hall: Free samples of Mad Swedish Meatballs paired with free samples of Mad Swede beer to accompany an art show exhibiting local artists.

Paddles Up Poke: Free beer with purchase from 5:00pm- 8:00pm.

Richard's Restaurant & Bar: Extended happy hour from 4:00pm- 9:00pm. Pro-Tip: You can park at Inn at 500 for free (valet or garage) and enter the restaurant through the lobby.

Shopping:

Banana Ink: 15% off entire store (and online) from 5:00pm- 9:00pm. $10-$15 rack.

Edge Brewing Pub on 10th: 20% off all merchandise on top of all day happy hour. Drinking and shopping is the best.

Hayes Company Boutique: Spring Collection is full of dresses, all of which are 30% off for First Thursday.

Re-Pop Gifts: 10% off your entire purchase when you buy game related merchandise from 4:00pm- 9:00pm. Same offer available online during the same hours. But everything is more fun in person.

There's also plenty of live music and art to enjoy as you make your way through Downtown Boise, drinking, eating, and shopping. Start your weekend early on Thursday, March 4th. Click here for more information.
