Sneak Peak Into World’s Largest Albertsons Opening in Meridian

It was a real privilege being able to tour the world's largest Albertsons location opening this weekend in Meridian near Eagle road and Fairview. I was blown away when the Broadway location opened but this new one is bigger and better (because it's closer to my house).

The newest and largest Albertsons location ever has the "Market Street" concept with all of the same wonderful qualities that you have grown to love with Albertsons. There is a Starbucks Coffee within the new store as well as a bar called Talon Tap & Spirits.

There hot food selection is ginormous with everything from Gyros, Tacos, Sushi, Salad Stations, Asian cuisine and so much more. You will find a Mochi Ice Cream Bar and fresh made Macarons. All of their breads, pastries, and sweet treats like donuts are all made fresh daily with lots of local products by the kitchen staff of over 100 employees.

There are between 450 and 500 employees total for the newest Albertsons location with up to 24 check stands being put to use, so wait times won't be long. The beer and wine selection is huge with a very classy wine seller with a sommelier on staff to help you with food pairings. There are over 3,000 different types of cheese available in the store and a personal favorite of mine, you can find Ivar's Clam Chowder readily available.

They offer a wide variety of fresh seafood options and even a live lobster tank. There are Dry Aged meats available next to the very large butcher block near the back of the store. The baby section is large, same with the wellness production selection, you can even find lots of things for your pets. Plus they have a really cool "Idaho" area with really awesome shirts and local products.

One thing that really stands out with this new Albertsons location is that they have a AKOS Med Clinic in the corner of their store, which is a walk-in medical clinic. You can now check in with a doctor through video chat and be seen within minutes. And when you're done stop by the pharmacy on the way out. After taking the tour there is no doubt that Albertsons has figured out how to make life easier for their customers in the Treasure Valley.

They will be holding their soft opening on Friday, March 8th. The Grand Opening is set for Saturday, March 9th with doors opening at 8 a.m. and the celebration planned for 10 a.m. I highly encourage you to stop by. You will be blown away with everything this new Albertsons location has to offer!
