Rare In-Person Idaho Job & Career Fair Happens Thursday
It might be an understatement to say that we're living in an interesting time right now. I'm not exactly sure what you would call this moment, but everyone is impacted differently by this pandemic.
The City of Boise to expand in-person services to begin February, people continue to battle wearing masks including social distancing and the vaccine rollout is happening. Some say it's getting better and the rest say it's getting worse. Well, we still need jobs and I found a job fair. That's a positive.
The Idaho Job & Career Fair will be held on Thursday, January 28 at the Galaxy Event Center in Meridian. You can expect over 30 businesses including community organizations on-site looking for the best. This is a big opportunity to get out and actually meet people hiring. we didn't use to think about it like that, but it's different in a pandemic atmosphere. Most things are being held via Zoom. This specific Career Fair is being setup up for in-person meetings and we'll post the COVID-19 protocols below.

That's just to name a few with several more in attendance. Make sure you show up with a resume and anything that gets people to remember your face. Just assume everyone in Boise shows up with a resume. What now? Here's one small tip that will definitely make you stand out. My biggest turnoff from receiving packages was the To Whom It May Concern. Really? You couldn't take one minute to find out my name? That just means you're sending the same letter to everyone. Make it personal and it might show you took time. Just my opinion.
Good luck!
