A woman from Payette is no longer with us right in the midst of the holiday season.

73-year-old Susan Griffin was driving her minivan when for reasons unknown she collided with a semi-truck hauling lumber along HWY 95 just north of Payette last night at about 8 p.m.

According to an article on idahonews.com that details the accident, Susan was not wearing a seatbelt and she tragically passed away at the scene.

The driver of the semi was also hurt in the crash, but we do not have the current state of his condition. The Idaho State Police say they will continue to investigate the accident.

Please keep everyone who loved Susan Griffin in your thoughts and prayers this holiday season. It's a particularly tough time to lose someone and another reminder of how fragile life is.
