Weiser Woman Dies in Crash
A woman from Weiser is no longer with us after she was in an accident as a passenger in a car that hit the back of a tractor hauling equipment.
67-year-old June Smith was riding with 48-year-old Julie Walker in a Volvo heading northbound on U.S. 95 on Tuesday when the tragic accident happened at about 6 p.m two miles south of Weiser.
No word on what caused their car to slam into the John Deere Tractor. According to an article on KTVB that details the accident, neither woman was wearing a seatbelt.
June Smith was taken to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise where she later passed away from her injuries. Julie Walker was taken to Weiser Memorial Hospital, but an update on her condition has not been released.
Please keep all parties involved in this horrible accident in your thoughts and prayers as you go about your days. We have had far too many deaths here in the Treasure Valley as we approach the holiday season. Every time news breaks about another life lost, I think of how many people are affected and how many people will be going through the season in the midst of their grief this year.
