Musician Unites After Tragedy in Vegas
Yesterday was a hard day. We are still asking why the horrible things we saw, happened. Honestly, we may never know. One thing though that has the ability to unite people better than anything else is music. She's coming to the Treasure Valley next summer and I can't wait to see her and thank her personally for this song.
Maren Morris, a country artist who wrote this song a few years ago teamed up with the legendary Vince Gill and had yet to release the song "Dear Hate" Until yesterday. She said after the tragedy, she felt she had to get it out there.
Music can change you, music can express something that you can't verbally express. We can feel things we don't normally feel, and this song does this to me. All proceeds from the sale and downloading of this song go directly back to the victims in Las Vegas through the Music City Cares Fund
I have been in tears throughout the day, angry at some points. And struggling for words, which again, I"m not sure could ever eloquently put on paper or even spoken. Maren Morris will be in Nampa opening for Nial Horan next summer. Keep watching mix106radio.com for your chance to see her for FREE! What a beautiful song, and words that resonate deep within my heart, as I'm sure you can feel as well.

Although Morris was not part of the Route 91 Harvest Festival, a statement was released on their behalf yesterday.
We are heartbroken over the tragedy that took place at the Route 91 Harvest festival. To think that anyone would want to inflict harm on a gathering of music lovers is beyond our comprehension. And while we are stunned and grieving over this incomprehensible act of violence, we know that this is a moment when we must come together to prevent more tragedies like this from occurring.Live Nation will do everything in our power to support the victims and their families through the aftermath of this horrendous event and extends our deepest gratitude to the heroic first responders who helped save as many lives as possible.
