Emmet Man Confirmed Shot During Las Vegas Route 91 Shooting
Jason Hammond from Emmett was one of the 500+ injured during Sunday night's Route 91 shooting in Las Vegas, NV.
According to KTVB, Hammond was shot in the knee during the pass shooting with friends confirming that he is awaiting surgery.
There hasn't been any updates on Hammond's condition or when he'll be able to undergo surgery.
Jason Hammond is one of an uncountable amount of Idaho residents who traveled to Las Vegas for the Route 91 Festival. Headlined by Sam Hunt, Eric Church and Jason Aldean, the crowd originally assumed there were fireworks going off which lead to confusion and delayed responses by concert goers.

Another Treasure Valley resident, Scott Freund from Meridian spoke with KTVB who was at the show when shots rained down into the crowd.
"It was just complete chaos everywhere. Everybody is running every direction, nobody knew where it was coming from," Freund said. "It sounded like it was coming from above somewhere. People were looking up, but you just grabbed whoever you were with, and ran. Everybody just ran for their lives."
As of the time of this writing, over $1 million has been raised for victims of the the Las Vegas shooting which will go to help victims and repair efforts.
