Man Accidentally Skis off 150 Foot Cliff & Lives to Tell About It [Video]

Davin Stratton was recently skiing in Utah when he flew over a 150-foot cliff. Luckily for him he lived and was unhurt. Luckily for us he recorded the jump with his GoPro camera.

Davin told the Washington Post "I immediately thought about my cousin, who was [left a] quadriplegic from a car accident and thought, 'I'm gonna be paralyzed. And then when I saw how big the cliff was when I was going over the edge, I thought I was dead for sure.”

Davin is a long time skier and has some experience skiing in the back country. He doesn't have near the experience of the proffesional back country skiers that I blogged about recently, that were practicing on the mountains and cliffs surronding Stanley, Idaho.

Davin said he saw the tracks leading up to the edge of the cliff, but didn’t realize, until too late, that those tracks stopped at the edge and didn’t continue over. He thought he was just skiing off a minor jump…until he started falling and realized as he fell, just how steep and long the cliff was as it passed before his eyes.

So I guess it's safe to say, that your life doesn't pass before your eyes as you are about to die...it's the stupid cliff you just accidentally jumped off of.
