What’s the coolest thing you’ve found digging in your yard? Maybe old jewelry, a vintage baseball?

An Idaho man was digging in a gravel pit in his yard and at first he thought he found a plastic pipe, or petrified wood. But then he noticed it kinda looked like bone, so he called experts.

Utah State University sent someone to check it out and they found it was a 3 1/2-foot tusk of a Columbian mammoth.

Columbian mammoths were 12 to 15 feet tall and they probably roamed the grasslands of Lake Bonneville. They say it could be anywhere from 12,000 to 15,000 years old!
