It's that time of year again! And even yesterday Friday Dec 12th, was National Ugly Sweater Day. So naturally I had to go get one for myself.

My former Ugly Sweater has been retired & returned to its place on the rack of the thrift store. Last weekend I went on the search for the ugliest sweater I could find. Which, if you've never done it, it takes a long time searching. First stop, the Idaho Youth Ranch on Overland there was slim pickings, lots of random stuff to put in my house but no Ugly Sweaters. Next stop Idaho Youth Ranch on Broadway, though I found what some may call ugly, it was nothing that could live up to my last sweater.

Final stop, St. Vincent de Paul on Broadway, right when I walked in on the right hand side they have everything Christmas up at the front. Including a rack full of clothes. Away I half sprinted to the rack and started the search. Endless sweaters that could be the one, yet not good enough. But then I saw it, a black sweater with little Santa heads all over it. It would it fit I thought. I pulled it off the rack to find it was a 3X, it'll fit sort of. I ran to the dressing rooms, put it on and laughed so hard tears came to my eyes. Did I mention I was there alone.

Besides me sounding totally crazy in the dressing room the sweater was so big I could have fit another person in there with me. But it's part of its charm, sort of. I bought the sweater and went directly to my moms house, she had to see this atrocity. I get to her house, put it on and of course she laughed. That's a good sign.

But while I was wearing it, I noticed it was a little too big, I bent over to pick my purse up and you could see everything underneath. It was like a dress starting at my neck. So we had to take it in a little, but just so while I'm at an Ugly Sweater party tonight I don't show everyone the goods.

Let me see your ugly sweater at the Mix 106 Radio Facebook Page.
