I know it’s hot this week in the Treasure Valley, but how hot will we be by 2100 if current warming trends continue? This new heat trend map will show you.....

Thanks to Climatecentral.org we now have a model that shows just how hot major US cities will be by 2100. It’s called the Future Blistering Summers app and it predicts how hot it will be in Boise, Meridian, Nampa and other US cities, assuming that greenhouse gas emissions keep increasing at the same rate though 2080. According to their map, you can expect average summer time temperatures to increase by at least 10 to 12 degrees by 2100.

So what that means is all the complaining we are doing this week with triple digit temperatures, will be completely normal by 2100….Let’s just say as much as I hat e the heat, I’m kind of glad I won’t be around if this is indeed true.

Based on this map in fact, most of the thousands of cities measured will feel like Texas and Florida.

Keep in mind this is only a prediction based on current heat models and doesn’t take into account the mini ice age that is coming according to some experts

Go ahead and enter your city to see how freaking hot it will be by the beginning of the next century.
