The Most Amazing Moment From Last Night’s Storm in Boise
Last night, we finally got what we've been waiting for - a good thunderstorm in Boise. It's much needed too; according to a report from Yahoo!: "Boise hasn’t had measurable rainfall since June 18, when a measly 0.05 inches fell — the last meaningful rain Boise received was just over half an inch on June 6."
It was a light show throughout the Treasure Valley
There are people who take pictures during lightning storms and then there are people like Sarahi C. who capture PHOTOS of lightning. Seriously, Sarahi caught a photo that could arguably contest what we think we know about intense weather.
The photo was taken during last night's storms and capture's a lightning strike over Boise. What makes this photo unique is the ray of light "beaming down" from the sky to the ground because it looks like something out of a sci-fi movie. It almost looks like there are aliens above the clouds abducting someone who (unsuccessfully) tried to escape their downtown shenanigans.
We're no meteorologists or UFO experts so we're asking you... what is going on at the moment this photo was taken?
What makes this photo even more captivating is the reflection on the Boise River. Just look at that! Is there something happening here beyond our understanding or is this simply a camera capturing a unique light phenomenon?
