A web site recently put together a list of the vote of the GREATEST film soundtracks ever. While the list is pretty subjective, most of us have a definite favorite or two. Here are a few of my favorites:

  1. Purple Rain (Introduced me to Prince music, and in my opinion, some of the best stuff he has ever done)
  2. City of Angels (I can listen to the entire CD, beginning to end)
  3. Anchorman 2  (Love me some 70's music)

  1. "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me"
  2. "Dazed and Confused", which has songs by Foghat, Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top, Ted Nugent, Kiss, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple
  3. "Trainspotting", with music by Iggy Pop, Blur, Brian Eno, New Order, Primal Scream, Pulp and Lou Reed
  4. "Natural Born Killers", which has Nine Inch Nails, Cowboy Junkies and Leonard Cohen
  5. "Garden State", which has Coldplay, The Shins, and Iron and Wine
  6. "The Life Aquatic", which has music by Devo, plus, David Bowie
  7. "Blade Runner", by the Greek composer Vangelis
  8. "A Clockwork Orange", which gave new meaning to "Singin' in the Rain" and Beethoven's Ninth Symphony
  9. "Reservoir Dogs", where Tarantino did the same with "Stuck in the Middle With You" by Stealers Wheel . . . during the Ear cutting scene. . . and "Hooked on a Feeling" by Blue Swede.
  10. "The Blues Brothers", which includes music by The Blues Brothers, Aretha Franklin, James Brown and Cab Calloway.
