It used to be cool to "Cruise" downtown on Friday or Saturday night. Well those days are long gone, and now the days of having loud music blaring from your car are soon to be as well.

After a recent story in the Idaho Statesman the Boise Police Department are cracking down on the excessively loud tunes from drivers in the downtown Boise area. Specifically 13th, 14th and Main and Idaho.  B.P.D. are ticketing drivers with the loud music  and loud mufflers after many noise violations have been issued. If you are one that ends up getting cited, tickets will cost you from $65 and upwards of a few hundreds which include court costs.  I'm not saying this is every a cool thing to do, but I for one am glad that they are taking a stand on this. There is nothing worse than driving around and your car vibrating because of the car next to you. Although this could be pretty hard while you are listening to Mix 106 this weekend we get it with all the great summer songs that almost makes you roll down the windows and turn your music up. So I guess the it's our duty to say sorry about that :)  -JD
