It's considered one of the most beautiful waterfalls in world and it's taller than Niagara Falls. As a matter of fact it's even called the Niagara of the west and it's a short drive from Boise, so if you have never seen it, maybe it's time to take the short drive to Shoshone Falls

 

 

This is peak water time for Shoshone Falls has begun. Now through July is the best time to view the raw power of Mother Nature, when run off from a good snow year in the Southwestern mountains is high.  I've been watching the live camera of the falls for the past few weeks and at the end of March, there was no water going over the falls at all, now it's roaring.
