The Big Nasty isn't just the largest hill climb in Idaho, it’s the largest in the nation and it comes to the Treasure Valley this weekend. This is the 15th annual Big Nasty Hill climb and it takes place every September in New Plymouth Idaho.

This Thursday, September 14th – Sunday September 17th, over 900 hill climb competitors and over 13,000 spectators hit New Plymouth to witness one of the largest hill climbing events in the U.S.

Oh yeah, the spectators come to party and have fun too. This is definitely one of the biggest parties of the year in Southwest Idaho.

The Big Nasty is the final round of a series of competitions, where some of the world’s top hill climb competitors race to win a $20,000 cash prize and the title of “King of the Hill.”

If you’ve never attended before, it’s a short drive to New Plymouth and well worth it. Not only do you see some of the top competitors in the world, but lots of locals rev up their bikes to try and make it to the top of the 450 foot hill. Some of which is nearly vertical and not everyone makes it, so you can expect some spectacular crashes too.
Camping spots are available, plus you can enjoy live music, tents full of vendors, beer gardens, a full service bar, and so much more!
