The move to the new house is nearly complete.  In fact, all possessions have made the switch, but at the moment, the garage is still in the process of being set up, so it's not quite done.

I made a promise to myself as this move was starting.  I would use the experience to help me cut down on the clutter and do a bit of minimizing of some things I needed to let go.  I adopted the Marie Kondo concept of "does it bring me joy" and added if I hadn't touched it in a year, it was automatically headed to charity.  I did allow myself five exceptions to that.

So far, the inside of the house is MUCH less cluttered and that reset feels really good, but this weekend, I had to get the garage at the old place cleaned out, so my garage filled up with things that had yet to to through the sort.

My old house had an outdoor shed and the new one does not, but I did get a three-car garage, so I've dedicated one bay to be the storage section.  I also decided that I was going to finally set up a dedicated area as my "shop" and organize my tools a little better.

That shop bench was an experience.  It took two different contractors I had found on Facebook Marketplace and a couple health delays, but it arrived Saturday night.  That meant I was able to start my sort and set up Sunday morning.

Add selling a couple old appliances today, and it was a great start on getting the garage where it needs to be, and also, parking a car in it too.
