The Idaho Food Truck Coalition Supports the MIX 106 Backpack Buddies

The 5th annual Backpack Buddies Radiothon takes place from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday, August 10) on Mix 106. Mike and Nicole will broadcast live for 12 hours to help raise funds for the Backpack Buddy program for the Idaho Foodbank.

Our friends at Mad Mac Food Truck reached out to us wanting to help give back to the community. They had an incredible idea to highlight the Backpack Buddies program as part of their Thursday night rally at Heroes Park in Meridian. They offered to donate 10% of the proceeds to our fundraising efforts!

So, PLEASE, stop by tomorrow (Thursday, August 10) for dinner with your family between 5 p.m. to  8 p.m. at Heroes Park in Meridian. You will enjoy delicious food options AND the satisfying feeling of knowing that a portion will be going to help feed children in the Treasure Valley who are food insecure and may not know where their next meal will come from. During the school year, they may get free or reduced meals for breakfast and lunch, but for dinner and on the weekends, they struggle. These kids could be your family, friends of your children, or neighbors and you may no idea.
