Southwest Health District Closes Office Due to Possible Snow Damage
Southwest District Health has closed one of their offices, till further notice to access any possible structural damage related to the large amount of snow received in the past month. Here's the details..
Southwest District Health sent out a press release earlier today detailing the closure.
Southwest District Health’s Weiser Office, located at 46 W. Court, will be closed until further notice. Because of the excessive snowfall received this year, a structural engineer will assess any damage to determine if the building is safe to occupy.
“We are taking this safety precaution with advice from the Building Inspector. We hope to have the office open again soon,” said Nikole Zogg, Director of Southwest District Health. “We thank everyone for their patience and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.”
For any clients who have questions about their services or appointments, please call the Caldwell Office at 208.455.5300.
Over 100 buildings in the Weiser/Ontario area have collapsed or suffered serious structural damage to their roof tops this winter including the Weiser Bowling alley which completely collapsed as well as Ridley's grocery store. So in this instance, even though it will proof to be a nuisance for some, it is really better to be safe rather than sorry.
