Oregon Coast Visit for Easter Weekend

We are lucky to live a weekend trip away from the coast, or at least Portland and then drive the rest of the way the next day like I did.

I was dealing with an awful head-cold and was all stuffed up and congested, I had an awesome hike planned up the coast to a viewpoint but with the fog and my head cold we decided best not to chance it. So instead we started making stops along the beach from Manzanita, Oregon up to Cannon Beach. A stretch that is awesome to make especially with great weather, the views are fantastic. This time around it was cold and more dreary, but then again there are a lot of days on the coast of Oregon and washington like that. Still felt great to breathe some fresh ocean air in and be in the sand.

Of course the area north of here is Astoria, home of the 'Goonies'!
