It's shocking that we are experiencing yet another food recall. This is the fifth such recall in just the last few months, so before you grab a granola or breakfast bar, check and make sure it's not this one:

The Quaker Oats Company has announced a voluntary recall of the Quaker Quinoa Granola Bars.

The FDA says Quaker Oats issued the recall after one of their suppliers was found to have distributed sunflower kernels that may be contaminated with Listeria

There has no been no illnesses reported and the recall was initiated out of an abundance of caution.

According to Quaker Oats, the exact products that are being recalled are as follows:

  • 6.1 ounce boxes of Quaker Quinoa Granola Bars Chocolate Nut Medley with UPC code 30000 32241 and Best Before Dates of: 10/16/2016, 10/17/2016
  • 6.1 ounce boxes of Quaker Quinoa Granola Bars Yogurt, Fruit & Nut with UPC 30000 32243 and Best

Before Dates of: 10/10/2016, 10/11/2016
