My First Boise Pride Parade
30 years of annual pride fun in the Treasure Valley and I was able to witness it for my first time.
The Idaho Capitol building is the backdrop for it all. The event is about community and a safe space for everyone. Mix 106 was in the parade so I joined the crew walking and handing out Lei's.
Downtown was extra busy for a Saturday morning. Luckily able to find a spot and get parked and in line in time. There were colors everywhere and as you can see below that always makes for fun pictures. I thought it was nice to see people all of all ages and families out supporting pride together.
The parade was fun and there were a ton of floats! Lots of businesses and organizations. After the parade there was great performances, some vendors and lots of great food.
I am looking forward to next year and am glad that I had my "Frenchy" from Grease wig. It was just what I needed for the fun.
