Meeting Lonnie Allen, Idaho Woman Entrepreneur and Fly Fisher
This past Friday was the Henry's Fork Foundation event a the Sky Center at Albertsons Stadium, the keynote speaker was a successful Idaho woman who fly fishes and owns fly shops among many other talents.
Lonnie's story starts many years ago in an area of Idaho in Warm River in the 1920's when her family homesteaded in that area. Her family went on to have the first ORVIS endorsed fly fishing lodge. As we as buying her family business she expanded it into owning 4 fly shops in Idaho. One of which is in the Treasure Valley. TRR Outfitters in Eagle is one of her shops.
It's great meeting inspiring women like this. She knows the obstacles he had to overcome and as we continue to make sure everyone is equal; she is on the forefront of representing women in outfitting. Her family here in Idaho also just created their own tequila so I will be telling you more soon about this and how this Tequila is basically Idaho Tequila.
