Job Opening: Boise State Athletic Director
Boise State Athletic Director Curt Apsey has stepped down after five years leaving an incredible opportunity. Who will it be?
Now, Curt Apsey won't be going far as he has taken a role in a university level fundraising position, according to Boise State University. Now as we head into the weekend of the Boise State Broncos' home opener with the Utah State Aggies, the University has launched a National Search for a new Athletic Director. This is obviously a job with a position that requires an incredible amount of experience so I certainly won't be applying but I'm excited for the lucky individual who gets to lead the athletic department at Boise State University.
The outgoing Curt Apsey had comments on his departure:
I will be stepping away from the duties of athletic director and focusing my energy on the financial challenges we currently face by continuing to advance our fundraising efforts at Boise State.
I also want to sincerely thank our donors, season ticket holders and corporate partners for the role they have played in our continued success both on the field of competition and in the classroom. We would not be where we are today without their support.”
Apsey initially joined the University back in 1998 as senior associate athletic director so he has quite a history with Boise State at this point. Sending good vibes and good luck in the new adventure, Mr. Apsey and high hopes for the Broncos' abbreviated season in this crazy, crazy year that is 2020.
