Boise loves Kellen Moore. After leading the Boise State Broncos to their most successful season, many people wanted to see him come back to take the job that eventually went to Spencer Danielson. He didn't even interview and instead continued on his path to potentially being an NFL head coach.

Kellen Moore's NFL coaching career has had a lot of ups and downs. It started almost immediately after he was done playing. He wound up on a familiar sideline, coaching quarterbacks for the Dallas Cowboys, a position he played well in college but not so well in the NFL. He was elevated to offensive coordinator just one year later. The team didn't perform well enough for his head coach, Jason Garrett, to keep his job, but the Cowboys stuck with Moore even though their new head coach, Mike McCarthy, was also an offensive coach. The next three seasons would be Kellen Moore's most successful, but it is unknown how much of Moore's concepts were run versus McCarthy's. Eventually, McCarthy decided that Kellen Moore wasn't a fit for his staff, and he found himself unemployed. He took the same job for the Los Angeles Chargers, where he worked for a defensive coach, so he was allowed to run the offense without any interference. The team underperformed, and after just one season with Kellen Moore, the entire coaching staff was let go. Then he went to Philadelphia, whose last offensive coordinator was fired for being too simplistic in his approach.

Philadelphia's head coach is Nick Sirianni. Sirianni is another offensive coach, and the offense that Kellen Moore is currently getting credit for is a hybrid of what Sirriani and Kellen Moore do. The combination has been successful, but it's anyone's guess which coach pulls the strings.

This week, the Philadelphia Eagles are playing in the Super Bowl against the slightly favored incumbent champion Kansas City Chiefs. The game is being played in New Orleans, the city rumored to hire Kellen Moore as its new head coach. While there should be excitement surrounding the hire of a coach who has led their team to an NFC Championship and potentially a Super Bowl win, the Saints players don't seem to be very happy with the choice of the former Boise State quarterback.

Here's what Saints star running back Alvin Kamara had to say about the potential hire on X:

Kamara and Defensive star Cam Jordan want the guy who took over the team mid-season when they fired head coach Dennis Allen. Darren Rizzi was the interim head coach for the last half of the season after being the team's special teams coordinator for the past five years.

If Kellen Moore is named the New Orleans Saints head coach after this weekend, he will first need to get his own players on board and it looks like he's got his work cut out for him.

Kellen Moore: Dominance Over The Years

Kellen Moore's 50 career victories as the starting quarterback at Boise State University remain the most by any QB in NCAA football history. Moore, who was touted as one of the most brilliant minds in college football has now taken those brains to the NFL where Dallas fans can't get enough of him.
