5 Ways Your Idaho Donation Could Send You To Jail
We are lucky to live in such an amazing place. Being here for even a short period makes you happy to be part of such a caring and giving community. The spirit of the Treasure Valley is contagious, and it's not long before you, too, feel like pitching in to make Boise as great as it can possibly be.

As we are officially in tax season, people are reminded that a nice donation to a non-profit can positively impact your tax return. Not getting back what you were hoping for? Maybe you should donate in 2025 to benefit from your goodwill next year.
So, what are some of the places that would love to hear from you? The Boise Rescue Mission, which focuses its attention on our homeless community, always needs clothing, furniture, personal hygiene items, school supplies, non-perishable food items, and, of course, cash.
Maybe you spend a lot of time on the Greenbelt and want to give back to it. You can! Cash donations are accepted through the Boise Parks and Recreation's Heritage Fund.
You can donate to the Idaho Humane Society if you're an animal lover. If you love books, the Boise Public Library always needs funding. You can donate cash for them to purchase books or pay for their overhead. You can also donate books from your own collection.
But just because you've made some sort of donation doesn't automatically make you a good person. Believe it or not, your donation could actually land you behind bars!
