Idaho’s Equity Gains Shown In A Meme So We Can Understand It
Sorry, I'm a millennial... A meme tends to make things a bit easier to understand. Idaho sees the biggest equity gains in the U.S. over the past year and this meme shows the impressiveness!
Man, this whole housing thing is bonkers... Terrible if you're trying to buy a house because the market is so competitive right now. However, if by chance you own property here in Idaho, especially if you've had it for a long period of time, you could be sitting on some fat cash! Over the past year, Idaho has seen the highest increase in equity of all the United States at a whopping 71%, as shown in the meme below. If you're somehow lucky and have a house that your grandparents purchased and paid off 50 years ago, you're sitting happy because either a: you have a place to live and you don't have to pay mortgage or rent and that's awesome and b: that house is worth MONEY! A home that may have cost $100,000 or less 40 years ago could be worth more than half of a million dollars now in 2021. Imagine THAT!
And if that's the case, you're perhaps luckier than people in any other state as Idaho has seen the most impressive equity percentage increase, year over year. California and Washington are just behind us here in Idaho but it is interesting to look a this map and see the difference between the West Coast and the East Coast, and of course the South. Everyone is moving this way! Surprised?
