Catching My First Small Mouth Bass in Idaho
Another first and more Idaho adventures with fly fishing fun!
This time I traveled East to an area you can fish the Snake River and a Reservoir are located to fish that area for the first time. We started out early and that was a good idea cause it got busy as the day went on. Small-mouth bass are a freshwater species in the sunfish family. I went with Rob Griggs who is a fishy friend and a guy who guides in town. If you want an amazing guide who truly en joys and cares about fly fishing. Rob has been doing this for a long time, and if you want one of the best guides in the Treasure Valley call Three Rivers Ranch in Eagle ( (208) 939-6065).
They are a fun fish to catch and especially on top water. We did all top water poppers which is a great excite cause they come up and hit it hard. So the anticipation adds to the energy and excitement. We even targeted some Carp!
