Bumble Wants to Fund Your Business
Bumble wants to get in your business, and not just your dating business. The app has a chance to earn some money to put into a startup business, with a special focus on women-owned companies. It could be $25.000!
I've been looking for my future husband on Bumble for a while now and in that process, I've seen some really great pictures of guys holding dead animals and hanging out in group shots with five of their hottest buddies, but I have yet to find Mr. Right. And you? Perhaps we'll have better luck with this also-satisfying opportunity.
I'll share the email I got this week from Bumble. They're looking to pump money into business startups, with emphasis on those led by women.
Hi Jen,
Did you know women founders receive just 2% of all venture capital funding? We're trying to change that!
Bumble Fund supports founders of early-stage companies, prioritizing those led by women with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
Through March 27th, select Bumble Fund applicants will get the opportunity to pitch their idea to tennis legend and investor Serena Williams and Bumble founder and CEO Whitney Wolfe Herd.
Are you, or do you know, a founder who should apply? Open Bumble and switch to Bizz mode! Match with the Bumble Fund profile to learn more about the resources we offer entrepreneurs and how to apply for funding in Round 3.
Bumble Fund checks range from $5,000 to $250,000, with an average of $25,000, according to Fortune Magazine. They've invested in many seed companies since the fund launched last year, but this is the first time that Serena Williams has been involved.
I've already managed to mess up this opportunity because I accidentally swiped left on the Bumble Fund and it was too late to get it back for a match. Good grief! I kid you not. This probably explains why I'm still single too. I'm sure you'll do better.
Good luck on your business, and on your dating life too. Now back to swiping on those bathroom mirror selfies...
