Boise PD and Fire Departments Join Together For National Night Out
It's known as National Night Out and its all about community support. Tonight the Boise Police Department is partnering with Boise Fire for a night of community support and you can get involved still.

The community comes together this night every year in hopes to do a few community awareness events.
- Heighten Crime & Drug Prevention Awareness
- Generate Support for local anti crime programs
- Strengthen the bonds between community and the Boise Police Department
- Promoting message that the community and the BPD are on one team and fighting back against crime in neighborhoods.
Over 15,000 communities rally together on the first Tuesday night in August for the National Night Out. The traditional lights on on the porches, and vigils kick off the block parties and cookouts showing support for Fire and Law Enforcement Officers. This night has had massive impact and success on the prevention of crime in the neighborhoods that take place in it. Get out and celebrate a partnership tonight with National Night Out. - JD
