With the BOOM of Boise seeing older stores that have been staples in the community is hard. This one is very hard as well. A well known Boise West End Restaurant/Grocer has closed it's doors for the last time.

Jerry's 27th Street Market which has been in business since the 1950's decided that it's time to move on and close up shop. This was not only a place to pick up that gallon of Milk that you needed right away, but it also had a restaurant and grill and to-go deli that was built and remodeled in 2012. This truly was the "One Stop Shop" for the West End Neighborhoods ranging from State St. down to Madison Ave. When news broke about the store closing the outpouring of love on Facebook started to flood in. This is a post the Idaho Statesman posted about the stores final days.

This is a sad loss for our community. Another good reminder that supporting local will keep local business around longer and keep them healthier. The store will hold a parking lot sale May 13th thru the 15th . Do you have any memories of Jerry's 27th Street Market? - JD
