Are you an adrenaline junkie looking for adventure. Whether rock climbing, spelunking or white water rafting there is a lot of places here in Idaho that will bring out the explorer in you and the great news is that some of these are easy and close to get to.

Including Julia Davis Park at #7. (WTH?)  I love the park, but it really doesn't bring out the explorer or adventurer in me.  Here are a few others that are within a short driving distance in southern Idaho:

Ritter Island in Thousand Springs State Park is the number one place to explore in Idaho.  It is amazing, beautiful and so visually cool. Plus it's the type of adventure you won't get anywhere else in the country.

City of Rocks at #3 is definitely a place where you can find adventure while rock climbing.

And if spelunking is more your speed when it comes to adventure, then you should visit the Minnetonka Cave which landed at #5. We have a lot of caves located in Idaho, but Minnetonka Cave is the largest.

What else do you think should be on the list? What shouldn't be included?

How is Shoshone Falls not on this list? At it’s peak it’s one of the most of the spectacular places to see in the country, but maybe, there’s not enough stuff to do for an adrenaline junky looking for adventure
