Working From Home: Better Or Worse For Productivity
It sounds like a fair amount of people here in the Treasure Valley are working from home these days, and it could become a "new normal" of sorts. But between kids, snacks and other distractions, can you be productive?
I've been fortunate to continue working here at Mix 106 through this craziness, but I do have some side work that I do from home and I'm terrible at keeping focused. I sometimes have to intentionally leave my phone in the other room if I want to get anything done.
I feel like it would be good for businesses to allow people to work from home; less office space would be needed, fewer resources (electricity, internet infrastructures) would be used by the company, but how do you know people are actually working?
Do you just trust them? If you're working from home these days, do you find it better or worse in terms of how much work you can get done?
