Every morning on my way to the radio station I drive by Albertson's stadium and I ask myself... Will there be BSU football this fall after all? The social media rumor mill is off and running. It all started after the Big Ten Conference announced that its teams will play football this fall. Their season is set to begin the weekend of October 23-24 and they're planning on an eight-game season. Will the Mountain West follow in the Big Ten's footsteps like they did in August when they postponed the season? Thus the only word out of the Mountain West is a statement released by commissioner Craig :

"Multiple subgroups within the conference are working daily on solutions to the existing challenges in order to facilitate a return to play for Mountain West football, and other Conference sport programs, at the earliest possible opportunity. This included finalizing a plan for frequent, rapid response testing and continuing to monitor the status of public health directives in our MW states and communities."

Here is what Coach Bryan Harsin had to say on the matter:

"The Big Ten's announcement today that they've identified a safe path for playing football this fall is very encouraging. Our players and coaches want to play. We appreciate our conference's statement regarding the ongoing efforts being made to explore all options for safely returning to the field as soon as possible. We look forward to getting back on The Blue."

Let's all cross our fingers and hopefully we will be able to watch the boys in blue play in 2020.
