The Annual Starlight Snowshoe Event to Raise Funds for Juvenile Diabetes Research
My cousin’s son is just a couple of weeks older than my youngest son. They are both almost two years old. Her son was just diagnosed with diabetes after she noticed some signs that concerned her. When I heard about this event, which has been around since it began in 2005, for Juvenile Diabetes, I knew I wanted to find out more.
The Annual Starlight Snowshoe event at Bogus Basin is this Saturday, March 4th from 4pm to 9pm. If you’re thinking, “I’d love to go, but I don’t have any equipment!”, that’s ok! All of the equipment is provided with admission to the event. All proceeds go directly to fund the research for a cure, better treatments, and prevention methods for type 1 diabetes.
Tickets are $16 per person, $11 for children (11 and under), or $53 for the entire family! You can register online HERE, at Greenwoods Ski Haus, or at the Bogus Basin Nordic area on the evening of the event.
Snowshoe under the stars on lit path then head into the Nordic Lodge for a gorgeous view, live music, food, drinks, and a raffle!
