We all know it's not easy being a teacher or administration working at a school, but we have some really great staff members at schools here in the Treasure Valley. One in particular is Tracy Newell, she is the Assistant Principal at Sawtooth Middle School in Meridian and just last week she decided to shave off her hair at an assembly to show support for kids dealing with childhood cancer.

I was fortunate enough to stumble upon the story first written by KIVI when they shared that it was actually twenty students and staff as well as fifteen other participants who all went bald to support the cause. It's a St. Baldrick's event which raises money for cancer research most specifically children suffering from cancer.

The tremendous effort of this school was really shown when the total money raised was over $6,000 which was more than $1,000 past their goal. Volunteers from SportsClips helped with the hair removal, now it will all be donated to Children with Hair Loss.
