A talking Barbie doll was just named the worst toy of the year. Before you start thinking to yourself, that it's stupid that a toy like Barbie would be voted as worst toy, you might want to find out why, because I think you then might agree.

The talking Barbie doll was just named the worst toy of the year, by the Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood.  It's because the doll connects to the Internet so that it can respond when a child talks, kind of like Siri on the iPhone.  But the conversations get recorded and analyzed by researchers developing voice recognition software, so the doll allows strangers to eavesdrop on kids' private conversations.

It's called "Hello Barbie" and it costs $75.
