Shoshone Falls

I'm a dork, I admit it, I'm a huge fan of Shoshone Falls and it's amazing beauty. Usually at this time of year the falls is just a trickle...but because of the massive amount of rain and snow this year, Shoshone Falls is already a sight to behold especially now since it's running at over 7000 cubic feet per second.

It's considered one of the most beautiful waterfalls in world and this week it's even more spectacular than it has been or will be at any time this year because the Bureau of Reclamation has increased water flow nearly 6X over what it was just a week ago. But don't wait too long to see it, because the water flow is not expected to last too long.

It's considered one of the most beautiful waterfalls in world and it's taller than Niagara Falls. As a matter of fact it's even called the Niagara of the west and it's a short drive from Boise, so if you have never seen it, maybe it's time to take the short drive to Shoshone Falls
